Only a small proportion of children in Africa gets timely surgery. This causes huge additional handicaps to these untreated children. Every call to assistance that Child-Help does in Africa shows many children who have never received help. Timely detection and correct treatment requires additional resources and commitment from many. The need is great and the resources are limited. That is why every support we receive is vital and particularly appreciated. On the photo: Pierre Mertens of Child-Help with several children who are not treated or got surgery too late.
